The Program
Beginning in the 2026–27 academic year, ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ will launch New York City as a a study-away experience, centered on academic internships and experiential learning. Each semester, approximately 100 juniors and seniors from the College of Arts & Science, the School of Engineering, and Peabody College (human and organizational development majors) will live, study, and intern in NYC while earning academic credit.Â
Program Structure
- Hours: 18–28 hours per week (e.g. three 8-hour days)
- Location: On-site in NYC in-office (30–75%), with limited remote work permitted if aligned with employer in-office expectations
- Student profile: 100 juniors and seniors from across the university, including the College of Arts and Science, School of Engineering and Peabody College (human and organizational development majors)
- Role: All academic internship opportunities must align to the requirements of the program.
- Schedule: Flexible, designed to coordinate with students’ class schedules
- ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ supervision: Each student is actively supported and supervised as part of a stand-alone class.
- Internship is for credit during the fall and/or spring semester(s).
- Pay: Preference is paid internship experience.
