Grade 12: Summer Research III

This 6-week summer research course is an intensive internship with a ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´/ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Medical Center faculty mentor in which students complete individual research projects. During this internship, students work full-time in the laboratory to perform all aspects of research, maintain a research lab journal, and participate in supplemental learning sessions as a group. These sessions stress scientific communication, critical analysis, and applications of research to real-world situations.

Students present their research at the Summer Research Symposium to members of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ community.

This course culminates with a poster symposium where each student presents their summer research project in a forum open to the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ community.

In the fall, students move on to the Advanced Research course.
